Patrons and Ambassadors

Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and human rights activist. In 2003, she performed at the inaugural concert for Nelson Mandela’s HIV/AIDS Foundation—a pivotal point on her life’s course and the first of many performances to advocate, raise awareness, and fundraise for the issue. She has subsequently served as a UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador and in 2007, she founded the SING campaign to support women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. Annie is also the founder of The Circle—a not-for-profit organization that works to support and empower some of the most marginalised women and girls around the globe. In recognition of her humanitarian work, she received the Woman of Peace Award at the 2009 World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, and in 2011 she was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Since she first visited an m2m site in 2009, Annie has been a tireless supporter of our organisation, hosting a trilogy of electrifying events in London, and more recently delivering stunning performances in Los Angeles all in support of m2m. Annie continuously advocates for our work to eliminate paediatric AIDS and keep mothers and families healthy.
