m2m Swaziland Gets Wheels

SwazilandBikes-6mothers2mothers (m2m) Swaziland received an incredibly useful present on 19 October – two new bicycles to make it easier for Community Mentor Mothers in the rural area of Dvokolwako to reach women at home who have not visited a health centre or missed key medical appointments and support them to access lifesaving medical care. The bicycles were donated by African Bikers, a South African Tour company set up by Jens Deister which operated our first Cycle to Zero in Swaziland and South Africa in 2014, and will run the next Cycle to Zero in Malawi in 2016.
SwazilandBikes-2African Bikers is donating a percentage of their commercial tours to raise money to buy bikes for m2m’s Community Mentor Mothers. They are new Buffalo bikes from World Bicycle Relief, which means they are entirely suitable for the terrain and offer a network of training and maintenance support. African Bikers will be donating bikes on an ongoing basis as they raise funds.
U.K. photographer Aidan O’Neill, who took the beautiful images of the first Cycle to Zero, is in Swaziland and captured the bicycle exchange.
