South African Company’s Vibrant New Bracelets Benefit m2m

In recognition of World AIDS Day, the South African company Relate launched a new beaded bracelet to benefit mothers2mothers (m2m). These vibrant, handmade bracelets embody the passion and endless determination of the HIV-positive mothers whom m2m employs, trains, and empowers as Mentor Mothers. The bracelets are comprised mostly of stunning red beads, with five beads in the colors of m2m’s logo.
Relate, based in Cape Town, makes handmade beaded bracelets in support of more than 70 causes. Proceeds from the sale of each bracelet support not only the cause, but the seniors in the impoverished communities who supplement their pensions by threading the beads. Many of these seniors care for their grandchildren and others orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Relate’s young staff who close and pack the bracelets also benefit with training in their chosen fields to further their careers beyond Relate.
The bracelets are being sold online on the Relate site and in the Made in SA stores, which can be found at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and at the Cape Town and Johannesburg airports.
